Tell us what you’re seeing and we’ll connect you with a licensed Twin Cities pest control technician who can come out, identify the pest on-site, and quote treatment if any is needed. No obligation. No high-pressure sales.
What happens after you submit
- You fill out the form below or call us directly.
- We connect you with our partner technician — a licensed Minnesota Department of Agriculture pest control operator who specializes in wood-damaging pests (carpenter ants, powderpost beetles, termites, carpenter bees).
- They contact you within one business day to schedule the inspection at a time that works for you.
- The inspection is free. They’ll identify the pest, locate the nest if applicable, identify the moisture source if relevant, and give you a clear quote with no pressure.
- If you don’t need treatment, they’ll tell you. Some problems — old powderpost beetle damage, woodpecker holes, construction debris — don’t need professional treatment. We’d rather lose a referral than have you pay for service you don’t need.

What you can expect
No upselling on the phone. The technician’s job is to get to your house and inspect, not to sell you over the phone. If anyone tries to quote treatment before they’ve seen the pest, that’s not us.
Free inspection means free. No “trip charges,” no “diagnostic fees,” no charges if you decide not to book treatment. You don’t owe anyone anything for the inspection itself.
You’ll get a written quote. If treatment is recommended, the quote will be specific: what they’re treating, how many visits, what’s guaranteed, and what it costs. No “starting at” pricing or vague estimates.
Your contact information stays private. We share it with our partner technician for the purposes of scheduling and follow-up only. We don’t sell it, share it with marketing partners, or add you to email lists. We don’t use it for anything other than connecting you to the inspection.
A note on the referral model
We’re upfront about this on every page of this site, but here’s the short version: Twin Cities Pest ID is a referral service. We’re not a pest control company. When you request an inspection through us, we connect you with one vetted local Twin Cities pest control operator. We receive a referral fee from them when treatment is booked.
The referral fee doesn’t change what you pay for treatment. The operator we partner with doesn’t change based on the size of your problem — same operator for every referral. We chose this model deliberately so that the diagnostic content on this site could stay honest. If you’d rather find a pest control company on your own, the Minnesota Pest Management Association maintains a public member directory.
Service area
Our partner operator serves the south Twin Cities metro, including:
- Bloomington
- Edina
- Eden Prairie
- Burnsville
- Apple Valley
- Eagan
- Minnetonka
- Richfield
- and surrounding south metro suburbs
If you’re outside that area, we can still help with identification, but referrals work best within the partner operator’s service zone. Contact us anyway — we’ll be honest about what we can and can’t do for your location.
Not sure if you need an inspection yet?
Work through the differential-diagnosis pages first:
- Sawdust piles in your house — what’s causing them?
- Round holes in wood — pest, woodpecker, or normal wear?
- Do You Have Termites in Minnesota?
- Carpenter Ants in Minnesota: identification and treatment
If those don’t resolve what you’re seeing, the form above is the next step.
